1.) FARMER'S PROTEST:

Farmers from numerous states, most notably in North India, stayed put on Delhi's borders for nearly a year before the Narendra Modi government announced the repeal of the three disputed farm laws in a major concession. The issue not only shook Parliament throughout the year, but it also became a major election issue, with the opposition accusing the administration of being "insensitive" to farmers. In his November 19 speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of farm regulations, saying that the rules were enacted for the benefit of farmers but were removed for the interest of the country.

The exodus of the local Afghan populace was then followed by terrible scenes. One of the images that drew the attention of the world showed helpless Afghans clinging to the landing gear of a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster as it took off, with others plunging to their deaths.
Since the Taliban assumed power, women have been compelled to wear the headscarf, denied access to school, and told to stay away from employment, among other things.

Meanwhile, on August 30, Major General Chris Donahue of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division boarded a C-17 out of Afghanistan, becoming the final US soldier to depart the nation. It marked the end of a two-decade US effort in Kabul that claimed the lives of 6,000 Americans and 100,000 Afghans
